About Lacrydia

Lacrydia is a visual social app for keeping your photos, arranging them into a world you can fly through and sharing them with the people you choose. It is made in Sweden and is coming soon to iPhone.

Why it exists

A camera roll is a pile. Thousands of pictures, one endless scroll, and the ones that mattered are somewhere near the bottom. Most places to share photos are built around a feed that decides what you see. We wanted the opposite: a place where every picture sits in a branch you named, and where you are the one who decides who gets to look.

What it is

• The Tree. Your photos live in branches inside branches. Zoom out to see your whole life at once, tap a branch and the camera flies in, all the way down to a gallery of single pictures at their real proportions.
• Playlists. Curate photos from anywhere in your Tree into collections, the way you would build a record collection.
• Friends and messages. Add people, like with a double-tap, comment and send a photo in a message.
• Explore. A masonry of photos, playlists and whole branches that leans toward what you actually open.
• Offline first. Your photos live on your device before anywhere else, so you can browse your own world without a connection. Changes sync when the network is back.

What we stand for

• Private by default. Every branch has its own privacy, enforced on the server and not only in the app.
• Your originals stay yours. Other people only ever see resized copies, never your original file.
• No ads, no selling your data. Lacrydia does not show ads and does not track you across other apps or sites.
• You can leave. Export your library or delete your account from Settings whenever you like. See how we handle your data.

Where it stands

Lacrydia is not in the App Store yet. It is being built and tested for iPhone, and the people on the waitlist will be the first to hear when it opens.
